A Clermont County, Ohio, nurse has won $800,020 playing Ohio Keno through Lotto.com, the nation's first online lottery platform to digitally deliver draw games and scratch tickets. The August 2026 drawing produced the biggest Keno prize won through the platform since the game was introduced to the platform earlier this year. It also ranks among the largest lottery Keno wins ever recorded in the United States.
The winner, identified as Courtney S., used the platform's Quick Pick feature before replacing two generated numbers with her lucky numbers, 14 and 26. That decision proved decisive. A nurse by profession, Courtney discovered the win before the start of a work shift and spent nearly an hour in disbelief before telling her mother. Her husband only believed the result after seeing the winning ticket himself. The prize is her largest lottery win to date, and she plans to use the money to become debt-free and then purchase a convertible.
The scale of the win matters beyond one player's bank account. It demonstrates that digital lottery couriers can deliver life-changing prizes in draw games that traditionally depended on retail counter sales. "Stories like Courtney's highlight what makes the lottery experience so engaging," said Thomas Metzger, CEO of Lotto.com. "Whether customers come to Lotto.com for Powerball and Mega Millions, order scratch tickets, or discover games like Keno for the first time, our goal is to make it easy and convenient to explore new ways to play. We're proud to connect new players to these games and generate incremental profits for education in the Buckeye State."
That incremental funding is significant. The Ohio Lottery has generated more than $35 billion since 1974 to support K-12 education, benefiting students, teachers, and schools statewide. When a courier platform attracts players who might not otherwise visit a retailer, it can expand the player base and the pool of proceeds directed to public education. Keno's repeated daily drawings give players multiple chances to win and make the game a natural fit for mobile ordering.
Keno is available through Lotto.com in Ohio, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Puerto Rico, with customers 18 and older in those jurisdictions able to order tickets and manage play from mobile devices or computers. The company operates in 12 jurisdictions, including Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, and New York, with expansion plans ahead. As the first digital platform for ordering official state lottery draw and scratch games, Lotto.com functions as a lottery courier that helps state lotteries contribute incremental funds to education, parks, emergency responders, veterans' health, and other services. The company says it is the only Better Business Bureau Accredited lottery courier and is certified by Gaming Laboratories International and the National Council on Problem Gambling. It also reports more than 4.5 million customers and 12 millionaires created through state-run games. The record Ohio Keno win shows that as more players discover draw games online, the prizes, and the public benefits they generate, can grow with them.
